What is the initial Meet & Greet?
Prior to any services for new clients, a free in your home meet & greet is scheduled. This visit usually lasts 30-60 minutes and allows us to get acquainted with you and your pets. During this visit we will also go over the detailing of your pets needs, special care instructions, answer questions or concerns, do a home tour of allowed access areas, fill out a new client packet and obtain a key.
Are you insured and bonded?
Paws Across Town is fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. with additional Special Property Endorsement coverage that covers personal property for accidental damage, mysterious disappearance, and theft.
What types of pets do you care after?
Dogs, cats, birds and parrots, reptiles, small animals and even the creepy crawlies too! For safety purposes we do not care for animals that possess any possible danger, or that have a history of biting or attacking.
How many visits a day should my pet need?
For adult dogs we suggest a minimum of 2 visits per day, cats 1-2 visits per day, birds and small animals 1 visit per day.
Does my pet have to be vaccinated?
It is important that pets applicable to vaccinations are current, and written proof is made when filling out paperwork. It is also suggested that you have I.D. tags with your contact information on your dog(s) and cat(s) collar.
What if there is an emergency with my pet while in your care?
Vet Authorization forms are included in all client's paperwork which lists emergency contacts and veteriarian contacts. In the event of an emergency you will be contacted immediately, and if your pet needs to be seen by the vet they will be transported for proper care. It is the responsibility of the owner for all charges incurred during vet care visits and is optional, but recommended to keep a payment source such as a credit card number on file in your paperwork or with your veterinarian.
Will you look after my pet(s) in your home?
Sorry, but we do not offer this as a part of our services.
My pet needs medication(s), can you administer them?
All necessary medications needing to be administered are included in care at no extra charge.
Do you provide food or pet supplies?
It is the responsibility of the owner to provide all food and pet supplies, such as litter, litter/garbage bags, toys, treats, etc.
I would like to know how my pet is doing, can we keep in touch?
Absolutely! In addition to detailed notes/report sheets left in home during visits, you may call or e-mail and expect an answer or return in a timely fashion.
How is payment accepted?
All payments are due at the first day of service or prior to. Forms of payment accepted are cash, money order and personal checks.
